Christmas cheese

Roll out the biscuit barrel! Last Christmas, we hand selected six brilliant British cheeses and five from Europe, to give you everything from strong and tangy to soft and dreamy.

You've got great taste

In 2010, Sainsbury's shoppers munched through 66,849 tonnes of cheese so it's no wonder that cheese is a staple part of the festivities and offered up after Christmas dinner, on Boxing Day and at parties the land over.

Create your own cheese board

The secret to a good cheese board is to pick a mix of different colours, textures and flavours. Always choose more of what you love and try adding in a little bit of something new for a change. You don't need to go mad, four or five different cheeses will do it. And for a truly festive cheese board why not add a handful of grapes, a good dollop of chutney, nuts and some crusty rustic bread.
